How many dates before you feel comfortable "going all the way"? Include your basic age group, as I am wondering if the number of dates that are "mandatory" or expected, before going all the way, has changed much with age???

It was our 4th or 5th date when my boyfriend and I had sex. We had been talking for a few months before we started dating though, so I felt like I knew him pretty well at that point and was comfortable with it faster than if we had just met.

I consider myself to be relatively shy and nearly all of the long term relationships that I've been in, we had sex in one form or another on the first date.
