We didn't. I think we did wait about 6 months though.

I would wait, I have not had LT relationships but I know that personally I need months proof that they are with me for me and not what my body can do for them.

We didn't wait. We aren't married. I'd say we rushed it a little, but it turned out just fine.

I am not a virgin and I am not and have never been married, but I don't think I would wait : ) Test drive the car before you buy it...

I didn't and am happy I didn't, remember it's always important to test drive the car before you buy it!

no, but i would think three years of waiting is at least equal to a contractual obligation to be faithful.

Waiting for sex doesn't make sense to me. Would you date someone for six months if you never spoke to them, "saving voice for marriage"?

Nope. I'm a second date girl for the simple fact that the sexual component of a relationship is very important to me and if we're not compatible there, I'm wasting my time. I've been in sexually incompatible relationships and I was miserable and am not willing to do that again. I also don't believe that sexual compatibility can change - sure, people can adapt, learn more, etc. but if you're completely 'off' from day one, chances are you will never be completely 'on'.

I don't get the point of waiting for sex till marriage, but everyone's got their own deal. I didn't wait because I didn't see any point. I feel like love without sex lacks fulfillment for both partners.

I can't say for sure that I'll ever be married, why deprive myself in the meantime?

I did not wait with my fiance. I just wouldn't want to risk such a big commitment without knowing who I'm committing myself to in every aspect. It may be shallow of me but I'm being honest, I'd hate to marry someone that is 'too small' for me &a terribly performer in the bedroom. I want to know the person I'm marrying is going to satisfy me forever (which is what I want) and he does, so I'm happy . No old school value of sex here. Gotta try it out.

Always thought I would, because of my pregnancy and general penis fears, but changed my mind when Mr. Right showed up. We waited 8 months.

We didn't. Our relationship was sexual once we made the decision to be together.

Dunno but it's an interesting idea...lots of pantomime. Would talking to yourself be sort of like masturbation?

We did not wait but I did make him wait for 1 year. With Arch we had sex the night we "officially" met but I had known him for over 2 years.

I was in a few long term relationships (1-2 yrs) before my current relationship and I waited and waited through them. I met the person I'm with now and I'm not ashamed to say we didn't wait.
I really care about him and it's something I just knew/felt was right and meant to be so I did it (first time) without any regrets.
