I just remember there was something similar in a poll... And I just wonder if there are folks out there who intentionally hide some or all of their toys from their love...

Nope! For now, I pick out all the toys we buy so that they're a surprise, and then I unpack them while we skype to show him what we got! Or, if we are planning to see each other soon after the package arrives, I wait and show him in person. Either way, he finds out about them pretty quickly.
