im currently single,so i will respond based on a past relationship. he knew my past because i am very open. but he did not deal well with it. so i did censor myself sometimes so as not to "aggravate" his issues with my past.

Technically my partner is the only person I've slept with, but he knows what happened before. I know the number of people he's slept with but that's about it. We both tend to get jealous easily over that stuff so theres no reason for us to bring it up.

I never tell people numbers (once you get into the double digits it just seems creepy) but I will tell them that I have been with more than a few people. I also share an STD history and what I do and don't like to do, this makes having sex safe. I don't think it is any business of an SO to know everything. We are all individuals after all. I wouldn't want a super detailed history from someone I was sleeping with, I have better things to do (**Cough**...have sex) lol.
