If your partner went to prison would you wait for them or would you move on?

That really depends on why he's in prison and was it something against you and your beliefs. Before my Hubby and I married he went to jail for a few months but it was no big deal - he was carrying a loaded concealed weapon in his truck - what redneck didn't back in the day? He had just turned 18 then too so yeah it was nothing more then a lesson learned.

Had it been domestic violence or something dangerous then that reasoning in me would have been totally different.

I agree with SexyTabby that it really depends on why he's in prison in the first place. And unless he actually ends up in prison, I honestly can't answer that question.

Depends on the crime and how long. If it was 10 years or something, probably not but something minor, yes.

I would die! I don't know what I'd do without him. I'm sure if he went to prison it wouldn't be for murder or anything like that, but I don't think I'd leave him, unless it was murder!

I probably would not wait. If I thought he was falsely accused I might wait, but otherwise I don't think I would.

If it was for something really serious like rape or murder then I would be gone as fast as possible! If it was a more minor crime I might wait, but he'd probably never hear the end of it from me.

I've done the long distance thing for over two years already waiting for him to finish school. I'd be super pissed if I had to wait longer.

Depends, for how long and what did he do. And what type of prison is he in, I wouldn't want him to come out worse.

I agree with "it depends on what his offense was". Everyone can make a silly mistake. Imagine if many of the (outdated) sex laws were enforced! No sodomy, no sex toys/dildos, etc....A whole bunch of us would be getting tickets or jailtime.

Don't mind the time but I do mind the crime.

I agree with everyone else.

Convicted of molesting a child? bye-bye.

Convicted of something minor? No problem.

I'd wait unless it was going to be for like 10+ years. And even then I'd wait a good amount of time before getting back into "the scene".
