Long Term relationship flame, how do we rekindle it?

I have been with my SO for a long time. We have came to an abrupt halt in the bedroom. We have tried almost everything, and I think we need something new to try. Any good suggestions?

Was there a significant reason for the abrupt halt i.e., trust issues, birth of a child, work hours change, etc...?

Schedule changes, and boredom I think.

Can you tell us what exactly have you tried — save us from duplicating ideas on things you've already done.

Any ideas will be helpful! Even if I have have already tried it may not hurt to try again!

Do you share any common time off or days together? Are you working opposite shifts? How about proposing a date night/day once a month or week where you guys just go out and do something you both enjoy together? Have you guys tried a new experience together?

Shop for some toys online, together. The anticipation of waiting for them to come will heat things up for days. Find some outside activities to do together...take dance classes, learn scuba diving, take karate or shooting classes.. whatever. Spending quality time together outside of the home can be a turn on to when you return there.

We have been married almost forty years and our relationship is still smoking hot, and part of that is we keep having fun, together, both in and out of the bedroom, and we always find new activities to keep us growing, as a couple. We recently took a year long business degree class for professionals together. Even studying together adds "us time".

Good luck!
