How do you know he's the one? I've been pondering lately because my current bf and I have been together for 4 months now and our last relationship we both dated the person for 3 years. I'm wondering how long it must take before you know the person is right for you. I'm a little concerned because my bf once said to me that he thinks it takes 4 years to get to know someone but I have a feeling he judged that based on his last relationship and because it lasted 3 years and wasn't what he wanted he thinks it takes that long to know, where as I'm not really sure. I really feel that I could be with him forever and I don't want it to take 3-4 years if he is the right one. Just wondering what people's thoughts are?

I don't think there is any set date for this kind of thing, when you know, you just know! My husband and I have been together almost 6 years now and of course I know him but I find new things out about him everyday.

I'm wondering how long it must take before you know the person is right for you. You can never completely know someone, everyone grows, changes, and learns new things about themselves, so there's no way their partner can know them completely. It's a matter of deciding if you can grow together, or if you think you'll grow apart.
