This post is brought to you by my dinner tonight. My partner and I made fish sticks tonight which is something I have not eaten since I was little. I got tarter sauce while he bought slaw sauce. He tried mine and made a disgusted face and said it tasted like rotting pickles, I tried his and said it tasted like wet dog! LOL

This got me to thinking...what other things are we totally opposite on and thought it would be funny to list them and see others opposite stories too.

A big one for us is our knowledge of cars. My partner can do the basic car stuff but knows nothing about the aesthetics of cars. He couldn't pick a corvette out of a line of dodge mini-vans. I on the other hand can work on more than just the basic stuff and could tell you the make model and year of many cars...some just by the headlights! We are totally opposite on that.

My bf can seemingly sleep on anything, any time, anywhere. I however, have strict guidelines to even be able to fall asleep, otherwise i can't get any sleep at all.

Um I can't think of anything other than drink and food but I LOVE coffee and wine, he absolutely hates both. I love olives and peppers and he absolutely can't stand either of them. There's really nothing that he loves that I hate, I have pretty diverse tastes.

My wife loves movies and TV shows off all types - I find most of them vapid and a waste of time. The root is she likes to read fiction - I'm strictly a non-fiction guy.

My man is really short tempered and gets riled up easily. If I'm really passionate or upset about something, I will show it, but for the most part I am very mild-mannered and have little temper to speak of. It's definitely a good thing, because I can calm him down if he's getting overly angry about something. He says I have kept him out of a lot of trouble

Mine is fussy. He eats what he likes and does not venture outward. I will try all kinds of stuff without blinking.

I smoke, he doesnt.

He is a sports fanatic and I could care less.

I hate summer, I don't like sunny days, I never tan, I love all things dark and spooky.
The boyfriend loves summer, likes to get a tan, actually wears pink. He wears tennis shoes - I wear New Rocks. I dye my hair black (looks hot with pale skin, imho), he's a natural blonde. I listen to Combichrist, he listens to the Eagles.
I'm a misanthropic malcontent that reads JTHM and he fucking golfs. that says it all. LOL
I think it's funny that here is a guy pushing 50, with his BMW and his golf clubs, smoking a pipe, all blond curls and polo shirts - dating a girl 21 years his junior, all pierced up, wearing black, with a biting fetish and a penchant for boots. We are from different worlds - but all that goes away when we're alone. Crazy, crazy stuff... and lo and behold, to our surprise, we fell in love.

well most stuff we are a lot alike. In fact one of the things we like to say to each other pretty much every day is "awww you're like me but with boy parts" (except he says with girl parts)

He does like to just pour tons of salt on everything. I have a condition where my electrolytes get out of whack and I have to avoid table salt. So cooking for us is kind of tough sometimes.

I can pick out a lot of cars just by their headlights, too. It's good that one of them I can tell is the Crown Victorias the police drive.

I don't think we are too much different different, except that I am picky with food and he will eat whatever is put in front of him.

Opposites attract. So many things about me and hubby are different. He's the outdoor type I prefer to be in front of my computer or listening to music. He's the strong provider and protector. I'm the soft lovey Momma. He likes chili I hate it (currently making it for him lol). There's so many differences. He is all hard and I'm all soft in emotions and exteriors. We have a lot of important things in common though. Thought patterns, love, how we cherish our family and each other, respect, sex lol It all balances out.

My bf and I dated 9 years ago when we were in our teens. 9 years later we are back together with very little contact in those 9 years and have been dating for 2 months. As teens we thought that we were complete opposites, now back we see we have a lot more in common.

Us too, very similar.

My man fires off like a bomb and I'm as delicate as a automn leaf falling slowly to the ground. Thank god I am good at managing stress bcs sometimes he can be a shit load to with. I am very patient while his patience is limited to 30 seconds and after that the bomb goes off.

In food and drink we are also different. He doesnt like coffee I do. I love olives, artichokes, other canned veggies while he hates canned/preserved foods.

He is an early bird and I am a night owl. He's ready to ride in the morning and I'm horny in the afternoon. It really sucks soemtimes to be on different scheduels.

My man knows practically everything about computers and I don't know much at all.

He loves cars and I don't know anything.

He loves steaks and other meats, and I don't eat those.

I love all kinds of music, where he sort of stays near electronica.


I hate the cold, he hates the heat.. lol

My husband can sleep any time anywhere no matter what, and I have to be just right in bed all tucked in. I love hot sauce on everything and he can hardly stand it. He loves movie theaters and I think they are loud cesspools.
