So I have kind of a weird story...

My boyfriend and I split up several months ago for about two months. During that time, a friend I have known for 14 years bought me a sex toy. The toy got caught up in back orders and finally just shipped yesterday. I told my boyfriend about it. He is very upset. I don't know what to do. On the one hand I am excited to have a new toy, regardless of who it is from. On the other hand, I feel guilty about it. I thought my boyfriend would be excited about a new toy to play with, but he's not. He's quite upset. I told him that it was ordered when we weren't together and it is just now finally arriving...

Has anyone else received a toy that wasn't from their partner?

That's not happened to either of us. Yet. If my wife received a toy from another male, I might get upset though. If she does get one, I hope it will be something expensive and nice !

I think our situations are different but I purchased a really nice toy and made a care package for a best friend who was having a 25th wedding anniversary They were actually going away, just the two of them, to a remote island. So, I wanted to give them a gift that "kept on giving".

I have given a friend a toy, but never received any from friends.

My older sister bought me one for my 20th birthday. She has a weird sense of humor, but honestly any partner getting up in arms about this kind of thing needs to chill the hell out.

My husband and I only buy for ourselves and no one has ever bought for us.

With us I do most the shopping (O.h. husband) She has on occasion given final approval when shopping online. The few times we went to a Adult toy store, she took so long picking something (s).

I have received them from 2 other male friends. They were appreciated, nothing I would have bought for myself. That being said they didn't get used and a big deal was not made of it.

I (the female) buy 90% of our toys. My husband bought the first many many years ago and I was very against using it. Once I did I was hooked and have been buying ever since.

My twin sister bought me my first vibrator and we have bought each other toys since then. Especially when there is a BOGO sale or something.

I used to be a Camgirl and also was a Suicide Girl Hopeful, so I've had a lot of strange men on the internet buying me sex toys over the years. I used to feel guilty about it, but it's not like I'm doing anything with them, so I dont feel bad anymore.
