Agreed. I don't lie, big or small. I also don't purposely exclude relevant or important information. I consider that lying, too.

Yes...lying by omission...just as bad.

Yes they are. some small lies to certain people is ok, but never to a loved one. it's very rare that it happens but it does sometime you just have to. I think everyone lies even if we don't mean to it just happens out of kindness sometimes.

They're still lies, I try my best to avoid any and all lies, big or small.

There are some cases where little white lies are necessary. I can't think of very many off the top of my head, but I do know they have their place.

Lying is a defense mechanism and it starts very early in life, as children. It's one of the hardest character flaws to shake.

I'm honest to a fault and that has shown to be just as problematic at times.

Little lies always seem to turn into bigger lies.

I usually call it as with holding truth. Totally different from lying. EdenFantasys Logo

I completely agree. I am basically incapable of lying/omitting, since I hate that guilty/sick feeling I get. I COULD lie if I WANTED to (and I'm pretty good at it), but I don't like that icky feeling.

I do think some lies have their place, I'm not going to tell my friend that her new outfit that she loves looks hideous on her for example, or tell my 6 year old neice that her picture she drew looks nothing like a cat. But generally, yes I think it's important to tell the truth.

I don't lie. But I am guilty of just not giving the full answer. However, I always answer a direct question with open honesty. If I'm certain the truth might hurt someone's feelings I always ask them if they really want to know the truth before answering.

A lie is a lie is a lie.

Most people probably do it though. It takes a strong person to be honest 100% of the time.

Yea, regardless you're saying something that isn't true, anything but the truth is a lie

I don't like white lies, I don't believe they're "lies" per se, but definably dishonest.

It depends a lot on the circumstances, since some lies are hiding surprises. Otherwise, if it's meant to hide something that you feel is wrong, it's a lie and a bad thing.
