How do you tell people you have two girlfriends or two boyfriends? Or that you're poly?

When we are all together I just come out and say that Sigel and I have an open or poly marriage and that Arch is our life partner. If we don't feel it's safe to be open we will say that Arch is a close friend or that he is our girl's stepfather and let people draw their own conclusions. If we are in separate Countries we use the stepfather story to cover most questions since Sigel is our son's legal stepfather.

Mostly I just matter of fact state that we are poly and if the person becomes abusive I give as good as I get. If they are polite then usually I say the least I can to satisfy the questions.

I guess the way we do it is always that term Open Relationship. We don't normally get asked anything further than that. But when we do get asked about it we try and explain that we are companions in all ways but not exclusive companions. I normally don't bring it up unless it's brought up before hand or they ask specifically something about it.

I never thought this issue would every have anything to do with me, but now it does because I'm in a relationship with a poly man who has a wife. He has an open relationship and I am his submissive. At first, it really bothered me, but I've come to accept it. I have no idea how I am going to tell ANYBODY about our relationship. Nobody knows about me being a submissive or that I'm with a married man. It's going to be tough and I'm very frightened about how my family will react once they do find out...

I do not tell my family anything really unless they ask but my kids know we are in an open marriage but his do not most of my side knows but does not ask. Our friends that we play with are just that FRIENDS to anyone they meet with us unless it is a lifestyle event. We are friends outside of playing with most anyhow.
