Is This Poly?

Contributor: uneunsae uneunsae
Hi everyone,

So I've read a lot of articles and a book about poly, but I'm still confused as to whether or not my ideal arrangement is poly. From what I understand, there are many forms of poly, but what I want seems a bit different from what I read about.

What I desire is a group of people who are ALL in love with each other. Of course, there are dynamics involved with that; each "couple" has a different nature, intensity, roles, etc. which is perfect since once person cannot possibly do all that for another. Anyway, the marked difference is that every member of the group loves all the other members.

My friends who are poly don't always love (though they do approve of!) their partner's other partners. This seems to be the difference between the poly they practice and they poly I wish to practice.

Is what I want still considered poly?

I apologize for any in-accuracies or misunderstandings. I am still very new to this lifestyle.

Do you have a group of people who love you that way...and you love them? Of course, by definition, that is poly. We just cannot begin to imagine the drama and dynamics that could bring on, since, we have discovered over and over in life, "people are people".
