Poly rights

Contributor: KrissyNovacaine KrissyNovacaine
We have been looking at our future as a poly family. We are looking at buying a house at the end of the year and having kids in about two. I have been getting frustrated by laws that I feel are unfair.

I really don't mind the tax laws. That is reasonable, but not ever having rights with my partners because we aren't legally married or being able to put their name on a mortgage is scary to me.

I wanted to know what other poly folks felt about this.

There should be no reason you cannot put all your names on a mortgage...people do it all the time. Now your lender may balk but if the other person shares your credit rating and stuff you shouldn't have that much trouble.
There are ways around damn near every issue involving life talk to a lawyer and see what he/she says about the issue.
