Hard to pick. I think perhaps I'd like to pretend that the gent was some supernatural or fantastical being (though I don't know what I'd want the most! Maybe an alien?).

As for the bonus question... in honesty, such a notion might make me reconsider the person. Not stopping no matter how much I wanted them to? That sets off a few red flags, and I don't know how comfortable I'd be sticking with someone who was willing to do that.
