I've been attracted to live-action fictional characters but more so I've been attracted to book-only characters. Mmmm. There's something so great about having your own image of them in your head, with which to do whatever you want.

It's not really my thing. I'm attracted to actual people.

I'm not going to lie: I have an overactive imagination and have had many a fantasy on a book or movie character. I love sci-fi, so I'm frequently pining for characters from Firefly, Doctor Who, Buffy or the latest graphic novel I've picked up. And I do sometimes seek out erotic fanfiction or fan art.

I prefer living, breathing human beings. Nothing fake, nothing contrived, nothing make believe. No, I am not attracted to fictional characters, of any kind.

I have been attracted to characters in books and then sometimes I get mad when their relationships don't work out lol.

I have found myself attracted to fictional characters, especially in books

I have been attracted to many fictional characters, and there is a vast assortment of online communities of people that are too. Google virtually any movie, book, cartoon, or tv show and "fanfiction" and be amazed. Also fanart and fanvids. I'm into slash for a bunch of my favorite fandoms.
The great thing about romantic or erotic fanfiction about fictional characters is that the source material usually provides much more content that the average porn movie ever could. You learn more about the character, feel a connection to them. Allows for a great fantasy life It's also allows for a completely safe fantasy object. A fictional character isn't your sister's new boyfriend, or the co-worker that won't go out with you. Plus, it is easier to have a picture of Dean Winchester as my desktop wallpaper than some naked porn star.

Yeah, I definitely have been attracted to fictional characters for a long time. I sort of preferred them over real people due to some traumatic stuff that happened in my past.
Plus I like them a lot today since I'm always alone

My first crushes were on Luke Skywalker and Quatre Raberba Winner (from Gundam Wing, an anime). Just a thing about blond guys suddenly thrust into world-saving warrior mode... also was crazy about Dilandau from Escaflowne, even though he was a complete nut, and had one of the worst dub voices I've ever heard.
Also had a huge crush on Joe Willard from Maud Hart Lovelace's 'Betsy~Tacy' series (another blond - no idea why that is, since I've never dated a blond in my life), but he was basically a character sketch of her husband, Delos, with people who knew him saying Delos just stepped off the page. So that's not so much a crush on a fictional character as a crush on a historical figure. I also have a crush on Thomas Jefferson.
Never been big into erotic depictions of my fictional crushes, though, mostly because no one ever seems to do it right. Almost all fan works of Quatre and Dilandau are yaoi doujinishis (fan comics that feature graphic gay sex). Not that I've got anything against gay guys, but the doujinshis tend to make them both look like doe-eyed girls with pre-pubescent penises being taken advantage of by men who look much, much older (even if the character in the actual show is the same age or barely older). Not at all into shotacon (Japanese term for finding pre-pubescent looking boys attractive), and there's usually a disturbing rape angle in those stories.
As for Luke, most Star Wars erotica I've read tends to be pretty awful, and usually pretty gross as well.

In like fourth grade.

i'd never be attracted to anything that's not real!

I've been attracted to live action fictional characters quite often. Sometimes also attracted to the actor, sometimes not. Avid reader of erotic fanfiction. It's just another fantasy, nothing that hinders my real life or my real relationship.

When I was in high school I discovered Anne Rice's sexy vampire stories.
I had a major crush on Marius, and was convinced he was real. Anne Rice just has a way of making her characters come to life. As I visited Rome in Italy, I would pray that he would come find me and make love to me, lol. I was 17 at the time.

I've been attracted to live action fictional characters in movies and on TV. I'm attracted to the actress for her looks, but the character for the personality traits. I can't think of any specific examples, but it's not uncommon.

Oh my gosh, I know what you mean!! I've always had a huuuge thing for Marius, and for Lestat. I never got into Louis, like I've seen so many others. I also really felt for Armand. Anne Rice writes for you to fall in love with her characters, I think.

My first really major crush was an AI in a computer game. Fully voiced, but no visual representation (well, unless you count an abstract smiley-face thingy . . ) I broke into tears at his heroic sacrifice at the end of the game, and again when he came back for the sequel. I was a very silly girl
I'm pretty attracted to book-only characters, but what really seems to get me is someone's voice. Animated characters are great for that, but disembodied voices in games or tv are even more attractive, for some reason . .

Fictional characters played by real women yes

I might have a big crush on Hank Reardon. I always felt bad for him when Dagny chose John Galt.
10/24/2011
I chose character only attraction, but that is because in both cases the actor in real life is gay. Both Capt. Jack from Dr. Who/Torchwood and Simon from Firefly are just too hot for words ::sigh:: I have to say the disembodied voice thing can be a turn on too. I remember listening to an audiotape of Little Men and the voice-over actors voice was so sexy that I was really turned on despite the subject matter being rather benign. If I could find a sexy male voice reading erotica geared to hetro females, Id be in heaven.

I often fantasize about my fictional characters making love to each other in a variety of situations. Guess that makes me a voyeur!
