Feeders... Ever heard of this?!

Contributor: ~LaUr3n~ ~LaUr3n~
I am watching the movie "FEED" on Netflix and thought I had heard it all...apparently not. I am totally aware of "chubster" porn, chubbie chaser etc. but had never heard of the feeder concept. Feeders or feedies are the terms for this sexual fantasy sub-culture. Basically feeders get off by feeding their partner and growing "BBW"s. Feeders are most often male and feedies are usually female, but the roles can be reversed. They love to cause the other person to gain body fat or the person likes to be made to gain.

There are also fat admirers who simply like obese people but don't get sexual arousal from feeding someone.

Padding is where the weight gain is simulated through layering of clothing or other means.

Other just like distended bellies and will "inflate" by drinking lots of water or other liquids or they eat until their stomach mimics pregnancy. This can cause arousal because of the pressure on sexual organs.

A lot of feeders like to cause the person to be immobile and then like the power they have over them in their bed ridden state.

Here is an online community for feeders and feedies: link

I've heard of this! I saw it on some show. I think it was on TLC. I don't remember the name of the show, but I certainly remember seeing it. I hadn't heard of it before that.

I'm not one to care what people do sexually, but it does seem physically unhealthy.

I agree. It's just as bad as starving someone, in my opinion. I probably should have put a..."I don't do this" option. Whooops.

I've heard it before, but can't remember where exactly it was. May have been on some tv program where they talk to people who do what the majority of people would think is crazy.
I sure wouldn't want to be with someone who goes out of their way to make me fatter.
I'd personally rather they starve me - mainly cause it's probably the only way I'll ever be slim.

I first heard of this years and years ago. A fuck buddy of mine waaay back in the day had an ex who is a feeder. She likes fat men, too, though this guy couldn't get fat. Guess she was an excellent cook, too.

I recently saw an episode of Strange Sex (I think) or Taboo or both in which feeders were profiled. Worth a view.

I think it's fucking sick and manipulative and wrong when they want to immobilize their partner, thus making the feed-ee ENTIRELY dependent upon the feeder. That's the extreme end-goal for a lot of feeders I've known/encountered.

I come from a food-loving family that's not afraid of indulgence but we are healthy and exercise and all of that and mind our sugar intake, etc. However I have always equated food with rewards for things growing up. Food = love for me. I cook a lot for SOs, like huge huge dinners with side dishes and homemade bread and pizzas and desserts and stuff. I've had a few SOs accuse me of being a feeder because they chose to eat too much of my food! I never encouraged/pushed my food on them; I just did what I like to do and they ate seconds and thirds .

Interesting fetish. Not my kink, and I don't judge but it definitely runs the risk of serious health issues.

I actually first learned about this in a movie called City Island. In a subplot of the movie, the teen-aged son is a budding feeder who is fascinated with plus-sized women.

The movie is actually very, very good; it is both poignant and funny. I highly recommend it! The feeder subplot is far from the focus of the movie, and they don't go into much detail about this kink since it's not the focus of the movie, but it was how I first heard of the feeder fetish. I've since read it about it in a porn review on a blog, but I haven't heard too much about this otherwise.

I heard of this but was repulsed by the idea. On the other hand, I am not judging those who are into this, to each their own. The health issues and potential for abuse really bothers me, though.

I have heard of this before. As someone who has struggled with weight my whole life, I think this is incredibly unhealthy. Obesity kills! I also think feeders are very insecure people who believe keeping their partners obese will prevent said partners from leaving them.

I saw Feed a couple years back and before that I'd never heard of such a thing. There really are all kinds of kinks out there.

Both of my guys appreciate a woman with some real curves not flat stomached, boy hipped women but neither are feeders nor do they try to get me to gain weight! I can see the appeal, but it's not for us...mainly because my family just don't do very well when they are overweight, too many health risks. Still there are plenty of people who are large and lovely and perfectly healthy. Whatever floats your boat it ok with me!

That is a pretty biased interpretation of intent! Not all feeders are insecure and there are plenty of people who appreciate large partners...there is no need for a feedie to stay with their partner for fear of being alone or really any other reason. I can't argue that for most of us obesity is a very dangerous thing to play around with but there are plently of BBWs and BBMs that are perfectly healthy, secure and happy.

Most of us who worry about our weight and whether we are attractive seem to feel that large people stay with their partners because they don't have choices....but I am a BBW and I have ALWAYS had male admirers and plenty of offers.

I think there is a powerful attraction for some people when they see their partners eat and enjoy food. The weight is a reflection of that excess of joy at least that is what is the most prevalent theme in Feeder/feedie erotica. For some there is a touch of vore mixed in but for pure feeders/feedies it's about enjoying excess through food.

I will admit to being concerned about those extreme cases where the feeder wants to feed their partner into immobility...I dunno, wanting to make a person completely dependant on you seems to be a weird form of Munchausen's by proxy but I'm not a mental health professional so I might be biased by my own feelings about being helpless and reliant on someone else for everything. ~Shrug~ I was ofered the opportunity to be fed to immobility and it sparked some surprisingly strong and negative emotions in me. I decided to do a bit of research and I learned from a few friends I made who enjoy this lovestyle that this is a pretty rare phenomenon. Most feeders don't want their partners to be helpless rather they see their partners as larger than life and POWERFUL.

I started to understand the sexual relationship when I read about the control aspect or it.

Agreed. I did read that some individuals do it out of insecurity, but it is mostly control over the person. It's usually a concentual, mutual relationship as you can see with the dating site I linked. Thanks for the input Airen!

P.S. This thread was totally not to hate on this fetish! I was very interested to see if anyone engaged in this and why. I studied sexual deviance as an undergrad. It's very interesting. Technically, we are all sexually deviant in some way.

I think I may have first heard of this on an episode of Bones where the murdered people were found dead in a bed next to a cake.

This is something I would absolutely not be interested in. While I consider myself to be recovered from my eating disorder, this would trigger me to all of hell and back.

i have a friend into this. she travels hundreds of miles to other regions of the country to meet people with this fetish in conventions, be fed by them, and have sex with them. she's gained alot of weight since getting more active in the fetish community.

The entire concept kind of scares me. It reminds me too much of an eating disorder, on either side.

I'm okay with it as long as both parties consent and have a clear idea of what's going on from the outset.

"Growing" a BBW from someone who isn't in on the plan and pushing them to a place where they're bedridden is just plain abuse.

Consent and knowledge are key, as is mental health. This is true for the BDSM community as well. It can be done safe, sane, and consensual, but some people are just not cut out for it, or want in on it for the wrong reasons.

I do like BBW/BBM, but not to a fetishistic level.

I understand that everyone's turned on by different things, but having someone feed you for the sheer purpose of making you gain weight and become obese? That's a little difficult to wrap my head around. But, to each his/her own!

To an extent, it doesn't worry me, because it's RACK, but when you get to the point that one partner has or intends to feed someone until they're bedridden, it loses the consent, because they're no longer free to say enough and walk out.
