You should probably avoid it, but can try. Maybe at the opportune time use a slim dil with no head or tapered one. You might have to just use appropriate anal plugs to satisfy your anal cravings.

I haven't really fantasized about pegging specifically but I have about being in the opposite role. I will never naturally grow a penis but maybe this could be an alternative so that I could experience what it's like to have one and be in the man's role during sex (kind of). Lubrication is vital as suggested by the article - however what is just as important is adequate/thoughtful preparation.

A gradual progression from a single lubricated finger, to 2, to small toy, etc prevents trauma to the muscles of the anal area (and hemorrhoids).

Education is also vital - ex. did you know there are two sets of anal sphincters - the outer which everyone knows about - and just inside there is a second set that must be set at ease before any serious anal penetration can take place.

If there is ever any pain - you should stop immediately. If the pain wasn't too great, you can go back a step or two of the progression and try again, but often times moving on to a different kind of play - and try anal again another day is a better idea.

You aren't going to get much nuance from medical journals, they pretty much say "Don't do it, but if you must, lube-up!"

My ex was super into being anally penetrated, so I pegged him quite a few times over the course of our relationship. I found the concept really hot, but I never felt like I was that good at it....and pretty much all sex with my ex was all about him, and not at all about me or us, so after the arousing novelty wore off, I started to feel more like a prop or a sex toy than an actual partner.
