Schoolgirl costume advice!

Contributor: kerry kerry
Hi everyone,

I'm trying to assemble a schoolgirl costume right now for my boyfriend...I just need some help/ideas. I've also never done roleplay/dressing up before, so some tips would also help because I'm a little nervous!

The only decent skirt I can find (i.e. not cheap, and not pink) right now is from Spencer's (Hustler): link

Has anyone seen anything else? I'm willing to spend 20-30 bucks, and get a red or a gray skirt (not pink or purple).

I don't need any of the costumes that come with a full outfit or a top, since I'm planning on wearing a black bra and a white button-up I already have.

Another question: thigh-high white stockings like these: (no garter belt)
link

or knee-high white socks? I'll be wearing high black heels, or mary-janes....

Anything else I'm missing? any advice? I'd really appreciate it! Love these forums, everyone is so helpful. Thanks!

Knee high socks are more schoolgirly.

I'd second the knee high socks over thigh highs

Having gone to a HS where the girls wore uniforms, skip the bra! I have fond memories of an oriental young lady who wore the green plaid skirt, white blouse and no bra to great effect. You could easily see her nipples (they were very dark) through the material - oh the exquisite torture of sitting near her...

Sometimes simpler is better...no offense!

I'd go with knee socks. I am especially fond of those loose knee socks that Japanese girls wear.

I've been told some of my everyday clothes look school-girly. I have a grey plaid pleated skirt I got at Target last year that looks like a uniform skirt. You could try frenchtoast.com, which is where I got the blouse for my Orihime costume. For shoes, go with the maryjanes. I love them, especially T.U.K.'s.
