Your Favorite English Accent

Contributor: kadytheredpanda kadytheredpanda
For many people, their ideal man/woman has a certain English accent. My sister and mother loves British ones. A friend and I prefer Australian. So, I'm just wondering, if YOU fancy English accents, which one turns you on the most?

If you have another accent you prefer, please write it down as a response please.

Not odd at all. I like the Welsh accent, but everyone just seems to forget it even exists.

My favorite is the Irish accent, but it definitely depends on the county. I can do without the Louth, Kerry, and Donegal accents - and all of Northern Ireland.

I love Irish accents! I've always wanted a phone-pal in Ireland so I could just ask them questions that require in-depth answers and I could listento them talk all day.

I love Master's accent ... a light, precise English accent with faint detours into the Somerset dialect he picked up from his mother. Very easy to understand, too.

I thought maybe she would have an excellent accent or such that you were trying to show off, haha

Irish accents have always made my knees weak. Oh man. Scottish isn't as intensely sexy but still, pretty high up there.

I think I might start selling phone time with my boyfriend for extra cash, because I've heard the same thing from 5 or 6 other people this month. My roommate will occasionally eavesdrop when I am on skype with my boyfriend just so she can hear him talk.

The most bizarre part of it all? I don't even know how to put videos into posts. LOLOLOL And If I recall correctly, she's got a pretty cute voice but not much of an accent.

I've been known to masturbate listening to Christopher Hitchens memoir, read by the author. Every time I play the Inception (and it is many, many times) I shiver at the "you mustn't be afraid to dream bigger, darling" line.

Anything distinctive. But it's not just accents, it's languages too. Though for some languages, I only like it when they speak in a certain accent.. Such as dutch. I only really like dutch when they're from the south or the east. The closer to Amsterdam, the less I like it.

By "american, general" do you mean northern?

I don't know too many places in the US that doesn't have some accent. The northeast is disinct and varied, as is the south and "deep south." Midwesterners?

I love accents. The only kind of British accents that really annoy the hell out of me are the ones that make the person sound like they aren't educated at all.

The 'American newscaster' non-accent. Pretty much how American actors (that aren't playing regional roles that require an accent) talk.
