Ok so here's a topic which I haven't heard of being brought up yet...

So I have very strange but strict tastes in women.

I am married so its not like I am looking anymore but I always had a thing for either the girl next door (all american tomboy type of girl that could wear a dress but loves a good pair of jeans, wants to drive your muscle car and shoot your guns and can beat you in Mortal Kombat while charming your parents or the completely polar opposite rude, pierced, combat boot wearing, tattoed, raven haired marilyn manson fan that gives your parents nightmares.

(Always had a thing for them. If anyone is into the TV show Shameless I have a thing for Mandy.... Yummy.)

Anyway my wife is the girl next door type. No tattos yet...(I stress yet ) many piercings (more to come) but other than that pretty normal.

I have asked her to Goth up for a day every once in a while and shes not really feeling it. I offered to buy her some Doc Martins and she already has some other stuff. I love her hair and I would never ask her to dye it black or anything but does anybody think its unfair to ask her to play dress up for a date or something?

opinions?

it's not unfair to ask. but she does get to make the decision whether she will or won't.

So I went into a car last weekend with a buddy of mine. The place was called the Tilted Kilt where the waitresses dress as if they were Irish or Scottish with Kits and such.

I had never been and neither had my buddy but a business partner insisted we go. I cant say I was dissapointed, although I have never been a big stare at your waitress then tip her big guy.

However this discussion came up again. How I would love for her to wear some nice Dr Martins with a plaid skirt and kinda goth it up. Recently the Secretary and I started talking about the tattoos and piercings we were considering getting and that combined with that get up might be too much for me to handle LOL!!

My buddy said that his wife was actually into the boots and skirt goth thing.

Guess I am a bit jealous...

Opinions anyone?

It's not unfair for you to want her to dress like this, but I definitely agree that it has to be her decision - clothing and appearance are very personal for women; it could be that she doesn't feel that it fits her personality.

Maybe she might be more into it if she just tried it as a bedroom thing initially? Like, just dressing up with the boots and some type of goth-style lingerie, and then taking it from there?

Werewolf I would be all about it even if she just wanted to do it in the bedroom. Maybe I should try it from that angle Thanks!

I am going to go where no one else has. Have you shared your experience here on EF. More then half the time, my hubby and I are here "together" (sometimes...actually TOGETHER, if you catch my drift). It's a great turn on. Even when I post, he goes back and reads over what I have said, and sometimes he will post or comment after me. We enjoy the additional avenue of sharing our thoughts here. Maybe having your wife "here" will inspire her, or give her some ideas of what she does wish to "try" and together you might run across some ideas that you both find hot.

We pretty much try whatever our partner wants, and enjoy making each other happy, but in fact, we usually enjoy the same things, so it works for us. If we find something that one of us wants, and the other is not too excited about, the idea tends to "go away", since if we both are not "into" the activity or idea, then it just isn't fun for the other. That is what being a couple, a team, a pair, is all about, at least in our book.

We hope you find that "look" that she enjoys putting on and that gets your juices flowing.
