We've all been there - your partner wants to try something new, and for whatever reason it's not appealing to you. Maybe you've tried it and know you don't like it, maybe it's just not your cup of tea.

I'm not talking about things you really don't want, like if you're terrified of being tied up but your partner wants to try out bondage, just things that don't turn you on or provide you pleasure. Maybe they have a foot fetish and you've just never thought about feet that way! Or they want foreplay but you just want to get to the good stuff!

So, what determines if you say yes?

I'll try most things once. I won't try it if it makes me actively uncomfortable or it takes a lot of money. If it's really expensive and I'm the only one shelling out the cash for their interest? No. If they really want something and are willing to pitch in, sure. They don't have to do something for me. And nothing dangerous of course.

We both feel like we'll pretty much try anything once. We both do have our hard limits, but I seriously doubt either of us would be into something that passes one of our hard limits.

Actually, by being open to new experiences for each other we've both discovered some things we enjoy, but never have tried before! So there's a bonus for being G, G & G!

YES is my automatic default answer....because I LOVE HIM. He loves ME (his answer is the same), and thus if it brings HIM happiness, so long as it is not something I find totally unacceptable (like bringing someone else into our bed, or something involving physical pain....none of which HE would ever ask to do), then it is FINE by me. Honest question. Did you actually sit down and think up a "list" of limits?

Did you "discuss" them or "negotiate" them??? Just very curious, as we never, ever actually "discussed" anything like this. We know that it is just HE and I and anything else between the two of us is fair game to at least ask about doing, or trying.

My boyfriend is very vanilla - and he knows he can tell me if there's anything new he wants to try, even if it's embarrassing. I just don't think there's anything unusual. There are a few things I WON'T do, but besides that, I'm extremely open minded.

I am very fortunate to have a wife who through the years has been ready, willing and able to try new things with me. She has been willing to test the limits, even stepping outside of her comfort zone on many occasions.
