My husband and I have been married what will be 9 years in July. We typically have sex at least once a day, a lot of days more! I am wondering if this is typical...I know people usually joke that married couples don't have sex that often. maybe my husband and I are atypical lol

Your lucky. My hubby and I have been married for 10 years. Before he started driving truck, we had sex 2 maybe 3 times a month, Now we have only have sex once a month.

but I am working on making that more.

I wish - over 22 years I'd say the average is 1/week - and that's only because things have gotten a little better over the last couple of years.

man sugar your getting it way more then me we are at like 3-4 a week, even though he want more i have to push my self just for that...lol no sex drive since surgery...lol

It varies from month to month. Sometimes, often, we have sex every day, sometimes more than once a day. Usually between 6 and 10 times a week.

I think frequency varies widely among all humans and being married doesn't have that much to do with it.

Well I have been married for 6 years and we have sex about 6 days out of the week, sometimes it varies but mostly six days a week, maybe twice a day if the kids let us get away with it

WHERE do you find the TIME???? After 35 years, we still make love four or five times on the weekend. Sometimes more or less. Usually more.

During the week, if we can do it every other day, that is GREAT. We have tried the EVERY DAY thing, but when he gets home at 10 PM and has to be up at 5 the next morning, or I have paperwork for work, that keeps me at the computer till 2 AM, it makes the SEX game sort of tough.

Hubby and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary a few months back. 1-2 times a day is about average for us. I don't really get the whole idea of assuming married people do it less often, although someone very close to me and I were discussing this one day and she thought hubby and I have sex way too much. I don't get that.

I love sex & would jump my husbands bones 3 times a day of he would let me, but he can only handle once a day. on rare occasions once in the early morning & once late at night, but the 2nd one of the day is hard for him to cum so he is usually left blue (not for lack of trying! He just isn't able to cum so close together) we have been married 6 years & still have sex almost every night

I've been in two marriages. My first, we didn't have sex often at all...maybe once every month or two? With my husband now, we often have sex twice a day....when work isn't wearing him out we'll have sex 4-10+ times a week. I don't think it's marriage itself that makes or breaks a sexual relationship, I think it's the way the relationship is in general.

Married 10 years, and we have sex at least 3 times a week. Two weeks ago, she was very frisky, and it was 7 or 8 times. Certainly helped with my mild PE. Hope it is more of the same next month!

I'm lucky for once a month. IF THAT! We also have two daughters that make it impossible for us to spend time together. I get frustrated with it. She acts like it's no big deal. So our 4 year run should just end soon. It's an unhealthy marriage because it lacks a sufficient amount of sex.

thanks for the input still everyone! I'm not always in the mood when he wants it, but I usually relent and once we get going I'm glad I did. It does help that we do not have kids (only because I have a fallopian tube condition, I was pregnant once but it was ectopic), I really feel for those that do, I didn't realize how much that affects things!

I'm very sorry to hear that! I have a friend who he and his wife had a baby in Feb and they haven't had sex in like 8 months! I don't know how he does it, but he isn't going to much longer he says. what a shame to be in that situation, it IS a big deal hope everything works out for you!

We have two young children running around and still make time for each other. If nothing is happening at all, it's time for some open communication. If that doesn't help, time for counseling.
