We don't live so close to neighbors that they can here the level of sound we generate. We do however have to be respectful of our 18 year old son whose room is adjacent to ours. The last thing he wants to hear is the old man doing-the-deed with his Mom.

When we turn out the lights, he goes downstairs to watch TV - it works best for all concerned.

Other.

We live about 300 yards from our closest neighbor, if they can hear us I would be shocked. lol When we did live close to people we would always close the windows and try to be respectful. Not that that always helped much.

When I had neighbors I tried but sometimes the heat of the moment got the best of us. Now our neighbors aren't close so we can do as we please. I prefer it that way.

We're really not close enough to our neighbours for noise to affect them... unless we started screaming like banshees or something. The kids on the other hand we are conscious of but they are upstairs so it's not a huge issue.

I doubt my neighbors can hear us -- well, me LOL. If they do, they havent said anything since we been here. we live in like a duplex, but its not like we try to have them hear us LOL

I try to be respectful. But sometimes, you just forget all about that kind of thing. LOL So I chose "each time is different". Usually I'm respectful though.

Agreed. We try and be respectful but sometimes one just cannot help oneself

My husband recently had me stand in the bedroom and make "sex" noises while he stood on the other side of the closed door just to see if the kids would be able to hear us. Oh my gosh, I did not realize how thin a hollow door is! We now spend all of our "sex" time in a room far away from the kids

Our house is not close enough to any of our neighbors for them to hear us. Although My Man has claimed "I think the neighbors 3 doors down just heard you." he's kidding. I have set neighborhood dogs to barking, though. I have a high pitched scream. The kids were NOT home and I let loose like a woman possessed that afternoon. I try to be reasonably quiet when the kids are home, but we have a humidifier and a white noise machine going in the hallway, and my kids sleep deeply, but I'm louder if none of them are home.

To be honest, if someone hears me, they hear me. I'm not all that concerned about it.

If we have company though, I do try to keep it down.

We live in an appartment with paper thin walls. We try to be quiet when we do it. I must muffle my yells and moans but some times, I can't be quieted.

If we have visit or if we are visiting someone we don't have sex. We wait till we're alone.

I wouldn't care if I heard my neighbors. I am concerened that they aren't getting enough sex in fact.

We live on a road with one other couple on it. They are so far through the woods I don't think they would hear us even if we were being really loud. But when we did have roommates we were always very respectful even though they were not!

I try to respect my roomate, but some times I get lost in the moment and get a little too loud.

Nope, not anymore. We don't give a fuck since they have no respect for us.

I'm always very respectful. Firstly because my partner and I both live in the dorms AND are RAs, so I really don't want either of our residents hearing us. Secondly, I hated living next to someone who was REALLY LOUD during sex last year, and I wouldn't want to do that to someone else.

We live in the woods up on a mountain. No one really around to hear us and if they are close enough, they are most likely trespassing. In my neck of the woods the ole' saying goes, "Trespassers will be Violated!" If they are close enough, hearing us would be violating enough.

I don't really think about it at all? Wish that was an option!
I don't think I'm terribly loud.
The times I will try to be really quiet... well, I can think of two instances.
One of them was when people were in the room sleeping a few feet away from us.

I live close to 1km from either neighbour.
But I didn't really care when living with partner and a friend - but I wasn't all that loud. Mind you, the friend use to enjoy listening...lol.

I live in a condo complex (moving soon) but we actually don't think too much about it unless the windows are open. I am loud but my partner attempts to stifle me which I find erotic as well.

I'm not sure if my neighbor can hear us or not. He hasn't said anything so hopefully he's not hearing anything. I live in a duplex though so I do share a wall.

All is fair in love and war. My upstairs neighbor is a complete prick who is currently tagging some chick who mews and howls like a cat in heat when she orgasms. It's the most disturbing thing I've ever heard in my life. And I return the favor in kind.

However, I don't go out of my way to make a show of it for two reasons: 1) it would be disrespectful to my mate and 2) I'm not sure if my downstairs neighbor has a kid or not. I just don't hold back when it feels good. There's no law saying that I can't be vocal and if the neighbors take issue with it, they are welcome to knock on my door to say as such.

We try to be quiet. We live in an apartment complex, and when we met some neighbors for the first time, they mentioned the guy who lived in our place before us, and how they could hear his sex-capades all over the complex. I don't want a reputation like that!

We own a house, so we figure we can be a loud as we want. After years of renting and keeping ourselves (relatively) in check, we feel like we've earned the right to have loud, boisterous sex.

My husband and I lived in an apartment a while back and we used to actually have competitions with the neighbors to see who could get louder. It was very fun and funny!
