I think that it's both for the man and woman. I am, what some might call, a lingerie addict. I have a huge collection of it, and adore every piece -- and yet, my partner lives across the Atlantic. So, I wear lingerie mostly for me; it makes me feel sexy and confident, even on my worst days. At the same time, I have some pieces that I wear when my partner and I get to visit one another because he loves how I look in certain items.

I think it just depends on the individual. Some women love lingerie and some think it's uncomfortable and just wear it because their men think it's sexy.

I think it is for both the man and the women. I know I enjoy wearing it because it makes me feel sexy. Some guys enjoy it but they rather just tear it off of you.

I think that it's for everyone. The man to appreciate the wife/girlfriend/SO for going out of her or his way to look good for them. The woman because it makes her feel sexy. It's a win win situation all round.

I think it's truly a mix of both. When I'm wearing something that I think looks sexy on me, it makes me feel confident and is reflected in the way I carry myself. My husband sees me as being sexy and appealing and we're both able to enjoy what happens as a result of that.

In general, I think lingerie is for women doing what they think men like. My boyfriend and i were looking at lingerie in a store and he was really frustrated that every single thing he liked didn't come in larger sizes. All the bigger things were much more covering which frustrated him. He loves my body and doesn't want to hide it. I feel that lingerie, at least for most, is for women to feel sexy and do what they think their partner wants.
For me, lingerie is something I like. I do it for me. I will take my partner's tastes into consideration, but it's always what I like.

I think it depends. I used to wear lingerie because I liked how it looked and it made me feel sexy but now I spend less effort on how I dress so I think if I bother to put it on or buy it it's for my man.
