Well, like it or not, it is what it is.

Not having to clear things with another person is nice, but it's good to have someone come with you on those adventures too.

I like them both. After my first relationship, I was single for a year or so and just dated a bit. It was nice and refreshing.

Then I got snatched up by my current partner and am just as happy! Maybe I'm just obnoxious and love myself to death

I like the time to myself and the ability to flirt with anyone that come with being single. It does get kind of lonely after a while, though. I have to feel pretty close to a guy to be comfortable doing anything physical with him, so I'm obviously not one for random party makeouts or one night stands to distract from the loneliness.

It depends really. Sometimes it's very lonely and others I realize I just don't have the energy to invest in someone, lonely moments or no.

I got married because I hated being single. and although he was not for me, I stayed in the marriage because I hated being single. I finally divorced him, and yes, I still hate being single. I loathe the game of dating, so I simply refuse to. I throw myself in to work, kids, volunteering, etc. But it's worse at night. I try to wear myself out so that when my head hits the bed, I'm immediately sleeping...all is well, I guess...
