Do you get STI checked while single?

For which STIs and do you think regular check ups are important even if you've never done anything sexual/ are not doing anything sexual at the moment? Why?

Yes, or atleast a yearly pelvic and breast exam for women. Just because you aren't sexually active doesn't mean you can't develop cancers and the like.

If I am single I still get my yearly testing. Being single or not somethings can lay dormant in the system without showing up right away so I always get tested.

A lot of STDs don't show up until a few months after, so it's always important to check!

you should get checked out between partners.

More importantly, don't give yourself a reason to have to get checked.

I've gotten checked annually or bi-annually, since I was 16. I didn't lose my virginity till I was 17. I still get checked now, and I'm married. It's important to get checked every 6 months because some things can hide and won't show up till later.
