If you're raising children you have to get use to it. What's the alternative - having sex only when they are at grandmas? No way! We never had sitters and live 3,000 miles from relatives - where there's a will....

I have had kids around for many years. We now have a baby. The only damper it puts on things, is I like my wife to sleep nude. As far as intimacy, it can interupt things from time to time, but it's not that big of an issue.

I would not make too much of a problem out of it. Every child grows up how you treat them. If they hear you from the beginning they'll get used to you having some sounds coming from the bedroom, and that's going to be considered normal until told otherwise. But that's going to happen by somebody else once they grew up a little and they'll only smile about it then. That's what I think.
Also it can be pretty damn hard to have longer sex session when you have a baby or an under 2 yr old child. In that age they like to wake you all up at night and stuff. I saw some really tired mothers out there.

We have seven kids, yes, I said SEVEN kids. We don't let anything, not even the kids, come between us and a great night of sex. Yes, it is better when they aren't here b/c we can get a little wilder, but it doesn't stop of from having incredible sex when they are here.

Hell, our son is aware that we have an active sex life. He's 16 and he occasionally teases his dad and I that it is a good thing he has an iPod with headphones.
I think it is important for him to know that a healthy and happy marriage includes sharing an active sex life together. I hope when he gets married, that knowledge will carry over into his marriage.
We have sex every day. We live here and our kid lives with us. Sex is as normal, as eating in our home. We do it, it happens, it is normal and our son knows it is too. Granted, it may make him cringe, (hehe) but that is OK too.

I have screaming, cussing orgasms with my kids in the house and never have woken them up. We take any opportunity we can, with kids awake or not to have sex. We believe that having a sex life has absolutely nothing to do with whether we have kids... except for the conception part.

Never been a problem at my house! Stress from work and crazy schedules at work are far bigger problems. I don't want my son to feel like sex is "bad", so I hope I can joke with him like my husband and I do with my in-laws.
