how do you feel when your roommmates or live-in family are seeing someone ? i worry what my reaction will be if my roommate eventually starts seeing someone, as with roommates their lovers are ALWAYS around the house and begin to become part of the household.

I've never understood this line of thinking, so because someone in the house is single the person in a relationship doesn't get to have their SO over when they want?

I mean, I get it if the person isn't contributing to the household or makes a mess or breaks things, but what I don't get is the jealousy of "they're in a relationship, I'm not; let's make their life difficult".

I've been the third person in living situations, never again. I actually had a friendship almost get smashed to bits because the roommate told his gf that it's ok for her to be there when he wasn't. It bother me. I said something. He didn't tell her different. It was a HUGE issue.

Yeah, girlfriends/boyfriends in the house when their respective partner isn't there, that's a huge "no". Partying all hours of the night? Also a huge "no", but if peeps are just hanging out together or in their rooms, I see no issue there.
