Anyone else annoyed with friends insisting you would be happier if you found a partner already? I think that being single can be just as fulfilling as being partnered up and don't know how to get those nagging acquaintances (and grandparents) off my back.

I have the opposite problem - everyone prefers that I stay single because I have bad taste in partners. So I am single (understandably but resentfully). My unattached straight male friends are relieved because I'm not in the market, and my female friends are relieved that I'm not going out and hurting myself. :-/

I'm single and finding someone of interest has yet to come into my life. The girls I seem to meet are either on the rebound or married and that is not for me.
