#AskEden - "Free assignments are not available for products with 3 or more assigned reviews or pending assignments."?

Hello, I just now am the rank to ask for assignments, and I am wondering what this means. My assignments tab is empty, and all of my reviews were published about a week ago. My assignment cart has 2 things in it.

It means exactly what it says. You can't request for an item if it has 3 assigned reviews (not buyouts) or reviews have been assigned but aren't up yet.

Basically, find something else.

Happens constantly. It's been really hard to find an assignment that admin will accept lately. It's actually been going on for about 6 months or longer now, but was not like this before. I assume it's because EF began discontinung SOOO many items all at once and didn't really add the ones they put on the "upcoming" products list. They didn't add many, anyways.

You are getting this message when you try and request a product right? It means that there are already pending reviews on that product -- other reviewers have requested it.

At this point, EF is discontinuing/selling out of toys faster than they're releasing them so releases under rank price are really rare, and when it does happen, you have to get it fast.

Ohh, I thought it was something I was doing wrong! My bad.

There are a few "upcoming products" I've been wanting to try, but they say they're out of stock... oh well!

The adult product industry is in a way somewhat seasonal. You'll notice an abundance of new lingerie and toys during the spring and summer months while manufacturers are gearing up for fall trade shows and awards campaigns.

With that in mind, if you see something you want then take a chance and place the order! If it turns out to be a toy that wasn't to your liking, that's an opportunity to write a review and explain why it didn't work for you.

Saying it's really difficult to find an assignment is somewhat about perception. What restrictions have you placed on toys as far as what you will or will not review? Are cock rings and anal plugs out? Don't like realistic toys or you're not a fan of lingerie? Don't use lube? Those things alone significantly narrow the chances of finding something for an assignment.

Not saying that your preferences aren't important, they are but it also helps to go outside of your comfort zone every once in a while. Assignments are great and they are one of the cornerstones of the review program, but there are so many other ways to review items. Buy-outs and points towards the order seem to be forgotten about as if they are an exception and not a viable option on a regular basis. Is this a correct assessment of what's been said thus far? (Feel free to explain if it's not. I'm all ears...err eyes as the case may be.)

Wow I had no idea about some of that stuff. I guess sometimes I forget there's a whole industry behind this piece of silicone I put up my butt on occasion. I personally LOVE all the discounts and perks EF gives to their customers. I just wish they stocked more toys so they didn't sell out/get discontinued as quickly.

Just to throw this out there too: Lingerie/Clothing products only get one free review per style (not size).
