Neatly Listed Measurements

Why do some reviews have neatly listed measurements that look like they're from the manufacturer, like this:

While others' don't get that, like in this review:

Or even more so, I would like if the measurements were more specific when toys are abnormally shaped. For example, when the head is large but the rest is slim I'm interested in the rest's width as well as the max with of the head!

In a descriptive review, which is what you linked the first time, it is automatically inserted.

In regular reviews it is up to the reviewer to list measurements, and it is considered plagiarism to copy the info directy from the product page

A couple of things to keep in mind with measurements... sometimes the information on the product page (and the descriptive review, or DR) is incorrect. I trust the less neat, but usually more accurate (in my experience), measurements from contributors. I always measure my toys carefully and put the information in my reviews. And I do try to include a number of measurements (like the width of the head) which are usually not included in the DR or product page.

Also keep in mind that some toys are made/poured by hand and they may actually vary in size from one toy to another.

I include the measurements in my reviews when ever I can. I find that they are often very close to the ones on the Manufacture page. I do not follow the format found there as I do not want it to look like a did a copy/paste. The numbers may be the same but I know that I have done the homework and measured myself, giving those that ready my reveiws the best information I can give.

Thanks everyone! It just looked neater from the product page. I guess I'll have to come up with a way to present the measurements in my own style....

There's no reason you can't make it just as neat as the product page. Just be sure to mention that you made the measurements yourself so no one thinks you just cut/pasted.

If the measurements are incorrect, please let an admin know so the page can be updated
