Reviewed Product, but "Not available for purchase"

Contributor: LikeSunshineDust LikeSunshineDust
Just out of curiosity, I've reviewed two products that were "Not available for purchase" but not with the description review program, and they never became available even after the review was published. So, A) Will they ever be made available? and B) What determines if a toy is made available? Both were good toys and it seems a little odd for there to be reviews of toys that can't be purchased.

Sometimes toys are sent by the company for us to try and the decision to carry them is based on how well they review. For information on a specific product, you can always email Rufina or Valentina who work in product management.

One thing I noticed is that Papaya Toys have decided to modify their toys before actually releasing them (despite positive reviews). Sometimes it could be something like that

I've noticed the same thing. I have seen some on here that were released up to 4 years ago and never made available for purchase, even with some having great reviews.

I think those older ones are out of stock or discontinued.

I was wondering about the Leatherbeaten product line. I am just assuming it has to do with the fact that they have to be handmade, but I am still curious (or lusting, I don't know). I have reviewed two, and there are some floggers I am drooling over that haven't been released yet.

JA - it's nothing to do with our gear having to be handmade. I'm not sure when you are likely to see more of our stuff available here. I have been advised that BDSM gear is not a great seller, on an essentially vanilla website, and as a result, EF are only going to look at adding our gear, slowly.

What I have seen of the community here suggests that at least some of you would like to have access to it, though, admittedly, it may well be that you are not the majority of EF's customers.

So, I don't know quite what to tell you - maybe if you all emailed EF with what you'd like, they could order it from us? I don't know how that would fly with the product managers here, but if it was acceptable, we'd be happy to oblige.

I'm not here to try and solicit individual orders from EF members, but if there is something you really want, that EF isn't carrying, don't forget we do ship into the US on a daily basis!
