"I'll Pass" comments on the product page, thoughts?

Contributor: emiliaa emiliaa
Why do so many people simply say "I'll pass" on every single toy they apparently don't want to buy? It's super nonspecific and gives very little opinion on the toy. Seems like comment spam to me, I don't really know how else to put it. ._.

We've entertained the idea of removing comments from product pages simply for this reason. Comments were originally in place so that people who don't want to write reviews didn't have to, but could still earn points for giving their opinion. Because this is its original purpose and because we're not in the habit of policing everyone's actions, we've decided to let them remain for the time being. However, if you notice it from one person in particular or several in particular please do send me an email and point me in their direction! Thanks!

I understand that. I do like having it for products especially when the product is not yet released. We all discuss what we heard about the product and our anticipation for it. I don't know if it's the correct use, but I find it adds some fun to the page and the wait.

I agree! It's fun to point out what you like and such, and fun to see who got it for DR review so you can be jealous! There are always going to be people who abuse the system, but if they seem to be doing it a LOT you should report them.

I really like the comment system actually, even when I haven't bought a toy I think it's fun to point something out, even something silly like "That looks like a sperm" on one toy. But I feel like "I'll pass" is just meaningless spam. @_@~ Bleh. Glad some people agree! Haha.

I feel the same way. "I'll pass" well then you should have just passed! "I want this so much" on the other hand feels like they really do want it. To the point where they just need to tell someone. It may not be much in the way of content but it's something. You know?
