Awful Smelling Toys!

Contributor: jedent jedent
I received a "surprise me" assignment and, has this ever happened to you? The toy smells so...pungent, and not in a kind of smelly sort of way, but gasses the room out sort of way, burning hair, disgustingly rancid chemical smell...and you're kind of scared to fuck it?

I washed it, but it's still a concern of mine.

Any thoughts friends?

I had a really smell toy once. I gave it a shot then dumped it in a box where it proceeded to smell up my other toys. Have any condoms handy - if it's coverable?

the one of my last reviews had a smelly product. I had to let it air out wash it with soap and water and toy cleaner to get the smell to go down. Lucky for me though it was a perfume smell.

Some toys these days are purposely scented, others just smell strongly because the packaging they're in does not breathe well and they haven't "aired out" since being manufactured. Wash it, give it time to breathe/fade a little, use condoms if you are concerned - and if you just can't get over the smell, get rid of it.

That's my practical advice.

My husband says he's willing to take one for the team on this one, and he says it's not so bad and actually you guys are right because I left it out on the kitchen counter for a few hours and I guess the smell did go away a little. I mean I'm still like ew, no way, but he's like meh, whatever, stick it in my pooper.

Thanks guys.

This post made my day!!! I agree with In the Pink. Ususally after washing and breathing the scent gets better.
