Do you have a specific set of criteria for rating reviews?

And if so, please elaborate. Or do you just form an overall opinion of the review?

Reviews to me must have the basics such as the sizing and it's use. It's also good when reviews have the experience section included. Most reviews I see are superb reviews and looks like alot of hard work go into them. Also, they have to be readable.

A lot of rating reviews is intuition for me. I guess my loose criteria is that I shouldn't have questions about the item or use and that the writing is such that I don't get bored.

It has to contain information about how the product actually FEELS. I see a lot of reviews that go into detail about features, size etc. but neglect to explain whether it feels good to the reviewer, and why.

I have a good number of things I look for. If it's a vibrator I want to hear about the strength in the Performance section, not just the vroom rating. I want to see if it's buzzy or rumbly.

I look for a detailed experience section. Did it work and why or why not? Is there someone else this might work for or is it a pass for everyone?

I look for info on the safety of the material.

For lubes and body products I like an ingredient listing that explains what the ingredients are or at least links to a site to find out more about them.

There's more stuff as well, but that's the big ones.

I look for specific details on size, material, detailed description of item, vibration patterns, ease of use, personal opinion and the high and low points of the item.

There are a few more things--I am kinder on the first 3 reviews than I am after that--they have had the time to figure out the mentor program and get started by then.

I value alternative uses, hints and tricks, practical information about care or clean up, etc. Those make it an excellent review.

I try to be unbiased when rating, despite the personality I may inject in some reviews.

Even if the item sucked for me, I will still evaluate it for craftsmanship, durability, maintenance, price/value, and alternative use,

I look for the details on the item that should be in the review and then the experience. If they are a good amount of detail for both, then it's at least useful.

I just need to have the cold hard facts, but I enjoy a little amusement while reading a review. My rating is base purely on the important information.

It depends on the type of product. I want something that will help me decide if I want to own it.

I always try to look for certain details. I need to know how powerful and loud the toy it, how it functions, the material type, etc.

the criteria I use for other reviews is the same I use to write my reviews. plus, I vote based on the helpulness of the review, not whether it relates to if I want to order it myself.

Length, whether it is split into section, whether it has pictures, and whether it is mostly info or fluff.

I usually look for the size, batteries it takes,is it hard to clean, material, waterpr oof and most important I need to know the power and noise level on all vibrating toys.

Body products I like seeing the ingredients since I am allergic to so much.

I definitely have certain facts I want to see included in the review.

More so just evaluate if they accurately describe the product. Different products should be review differently, so I do not use only one set of criteria.

I think reviews should have the basic info about the product, as well as how the user enjoyed it. Extra stuff, like pictures, very thorough discussion about the product and so forth is what sends it to "extremely useful" for me.
