Free assignments: Do you push the limit?

Contributor: Crystal1 Crystal1
My limit is $75, but I almost never find anything near that price that I want to review. I'd say I most often end up ordering in the $50-$60 range.

I pick whatever interests me. Sometimes it's close to my limit, and other times it's significantly less than my limit.

It's interesting that so many of us more or less disregard the limits, and instead just look for something we like

I search with my max out price and just pick something. Usually it's really close to the $50 limit, but I've been known to pick >$30

I search for things around my price limit, but if I can't find anything that I'm interested in, then I'll start to go lower in the prices.

Rank: 4.5 - 5.4 = toys up to $40.
Rank: 5.5 - 6.4 = toys up to $50.
Rank: 6.5 - 10 ... more
I wish there's an "other" option. I used to try and get something at the high end of my budget. Now I stopped doing it because the toys I get are really disappointing. I'd rather just do buy out so it's something I really want.

Ha ha noted. Usually what I want in my limit has pending assignments so I get anything which ends up being lower

I usually just look in my wishlist and see if anything that I really want is available to review as an assignment. I'd rather something I REALLY want that may be a bit lower in price to something that is higher in price but something I'm not totally lusting after.

I search a category that i am interested in trying and then narrow it down by my price limit. If it is right at the limit, thats okay, but if its way below my limit, that's fine too

I get whatever strikes my fancy. Some may be within the $75 limit like Little Paul Click n Charge and then I've done lingerie reviews that were $25-$30. I don't pay attention to the price, I just review what I think will be nice to review and that I'd like. I'm not going to get a product everytime in my price range just because it's an expensive toy, because if I have no use for that expensive toy then it's no good to me. I get items that I want to try and that's it.

I can't be very picky about what I choose for a free assignment, because the vast majority of the items I want are not available (they usually have 3+ people reviewing them currently). So I typically end up choosing ANY item I can find that I'm at all interested in, no matter how far under my price limit.

while I just started writing reviews, I am open to any product no matter price as long as I am actually interested in the product.

This is my first month reviewing and the product that perked my interest was $10 under my limit, and my assigned review was also about $10 under my limit. I suppose I would go lower if there was something I REALLY wanted but that's about it. You are getting something FOR FREE, the goal being that you get as much out of that product as possible. If its less expensive but you'll use it more than so what?

As others have said, I enter my price range into the product search, and then pick from what there is. Once I'm choosing, I pay NO attention to price because I just look for something that I might like or enjoy.

I just had my first product to review shipped. What I did was go through my wish list and see what in the price range was available. The item is more than $20 below my limit but it's something I think my wife and I will really enjoy.

I've only done one free assignment, but thats because I feel like I need lots of time to do assignments and am too worried I won't get it done on time.

I pick what I pick because I'm interested in it. I do search within my price range, but sometimes I'm $10-$20 below the max.

As long as it falls under the price limit and it's something I'd like to try then it doesn't matter to me how close the price is to my limit. It's hard enough as it is just to find something with under 3 reviews. I usually look under the newest additions and find something there.

I think that I've asked for maybe two things in my range limit. Usually it'll be 10-20 below the limit, depending on wither I'm interested in it and the amount of reviews. I try to find things that just came out with 0 reviews and try not doing things with more than 3 5 at most.

the amount doesn't matter (as long as it's in my range), as long as it's something I'll like.
