Help with a review

Contributor: Bon Bon Bon Bon
Hey guys, I recently did my first condom review, and I guess it wasn't quite up to par, so I only got "not useful" and "somewhat useful" votes. I went back and edited it after studying some of the previously published condom reviews, and I was hoping that I could get some comments on what else could use improving. I'd like to keep doing condom reviews in the future, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Here's the review:

You should definitely check out the Mentor Program if you'd like help revising your reviews. You can request a mentor who will make suggestions on how to improve a review before you even publish it.

As far as actual suggestions go, some specifications about the condom length, width (head and shaft), and thickness would be good. I haven't done any condom reviews, though, so I'm not sure what else to suggest.

Your additions did make an improvement. I agree with Andromeda, you should look into the mentor program where you can work closely with a more experienced writer. I am one of the condom 'experts' here, so I can help you with that even if you choose not to join the mentor program, just send reviews to my in box and I'd be glad to look them over like I do for others.

Yeah, I'm currently completing the mentor program with Mistress Kay, actually. But I did this particular review before I signed up for that, and am looking for specifics on condom reviews. Thanks for the tips; I'll do some measuring and edit some specifics in.

To LaUR3n, thanks for the help, I'll probably take you up on that in the future.

Ummm... I'd like to know what the condom is made of (latex?) what types of lube is it compatible with (water, oil, silicone, every kind?)... have you ever had any issues with breakage? What sizes are available? Colors?.... Ummm.... I'll try to keep thinking if I can come up with any other suggestions.

Mentor program all the way. And try the extended format. It helps a lot also

Unfortunately there is no extended format for condoms (I would love there to be one ), so you're stuck with standard.

That being said, I'd also be more than happy to look over any of your condom reviews as well (another condom 'expert'). But either way, I wish you the best of luck

The suggestions everyone else gave you seem great. I've honestly never written a condom review and never will, so I would have been a pretty crappy mentor for that.

I think just talking about the thickness, the tightness, and its shape and if it makes a difference during intercourse seems to be the most important part of condom reviews.

I would just add info about any taste or smell with the condoms. What type of expiration date do they have? How did they feel for your partner?
