How often are you past due on your reviews? (Private voting)

Contributor: namelesschaos namelesschaos
Simple question how often are you past due on your reviews.

I’ve been over due technically 4 times but only 2 of those where my fault. Once I just lost track of time I didn’t realize I was past due, the second time I realized I was past due but just couldn’t finish it on time. Of the times that weren’t my fault, the first was when I had the review done on time but couldn’t post it due to a glitch in the off-site review template. The second is right now, I’m past due but the item hasn’t even shipped yet. If it doesn’t today I’m sending a support ticket.

I'm not sure I've ever been late on a review. I'm usually pretty paranoid about deadlines and the like, so I don't like knowing that I owe the review on it and I haven't done it yet. I know I've come really close a few times, but I don't think I've ever gotten the dreaded automated email.

I'm not sure if it's considered past due (I've never gotten the reminder email), but my last few porn reviews have been at the 4 week mark. Part of the problem is that the movies don't get shipped right away but the clock starts as soon as you accept the assignment.

Once I was past due because I was sick and didn't feel like it, but I've always seemed to be early.

Today I got my first email, that review is six weeks old. Damn I feel bad, it was a buy out, but still.

I'm the latest I've been on my current review. I've had it for a lil over a month. It's a DVD and Hubby and I were going away for our 17th anniversary so I thought it would be perfect to request and I could figure out how to write a movie review. Unfortunately, we had a death in the family and we still haven't gone away. We did watch the dvd together but I've only wrote half the review so far - was working on it earlier - I'll finish it some time tonight barring any problems.

I try to review the product and test, if necessary, right away. I concider it like a job. I owe it to Eden and to the manufacture. If it was sent free, then I have to hold up my end of the bargain.

I have come very close to missing one of my deadlines, but it was due to me having difficulties in how to review the product to the best I could.

I'm pretty timely so I haven't had this problem.

I have not been late for any of them at all but I know you need a good amount of time to test a toy to really write a great review about it.

I have been late a few times, which is a few times more than I would have liked, sadly life does get in the way some times.

I still have not done more than one review, and that I did on our blog. I think its a bit complicated the way the reviews on here are done.

I have never received an email reminder. But my last couple reviews (all within the last week) were at the 3 and 4 week marks. This is definitely the longest that I have ever taken to do reviews, but it was a totally stressful month for me, I was sick for the first half, kids were sick for the second, birthday, catching up on the chores I fell behind on etc. The reviews were for porn and a book, so they were reviews that take a considerable length of time to complete. I hope that it doesn't happen again though. I really hate missing deadlines and aim to get everything in by or before the 2 week mark.

I am not aware of a 'due date/time'. I was just aware of 'asap'. Review the best you can, then wright and submit your review. I thought it was like 4 weeks, a month, max including the shipping time to get it done.

I have done the BIG no, no. I have had an assignment(vibrator) for months before I could review it. I was at the end of my pregnancy and caring for my 2 year old daughter. I had allot going on and wasn't feeling so great. I finally gave birth to a baby boy just over 9 lbs. Then had to have some recovery time. It was also around all the holidays and craziness. I recived an email and accdently deleted it before I replied. I just could find the time or energy. I finally got around to reviewing it a few times and submitted my review asap. I still feel awful about it. I wish I would of handled it better, lesson learned. Don't agree to anything unless you are 100% sure you can get things done promptly.

Thank you EF so much for not taring me a new one! I greatly appreciate it and I am happy to be back! I did have some information in my 'about me' being pregnant with my due date. So I hope that it helped them understand where I was coming from. Again Thank You EF for everything, I love this site and everything about it!

With the rest of my reviews I like to think I am 'on time' even though I don't know exactly when the deadline is. I review as soon as I can, the best that I can.

Oh, I didn't know there was an email. I aim to have them done in 2 weeks, but I have strayed out to 3 weeks before. I review for other sites too, and one of those is usually my worst because I tend to get kits that have lots of different items and it takes time to try them all.
What is the time frame everyone aims to have them done by at the latest?

I am going to be past do for one soon. I am currently at the three week mark for a buy out review of a Tantra book. My wife and I are wanting to read it together, but between me being gone 5 days a week, and packing up for moving, it doesn't look like it is going to happen in time. Who do I email to let know that I haven't forgotten about the review?

I'm past due because the item is on back order.

Gary or JR. Mine was a buy out and I did not get my email till the six week mark. As with all things like this, a quick email will go far. They know 'life' happens.

I didn't know there was a e-mail if your late. I change mine to never then. It had to be close to past due on just one.

I do know that I feel bad about being late, to the point that I am thinking about not requesting my next free review until I get this one published. Anyone else do this?
