I don't think a comment that's just indicative of support or simply acknowledgment (like a Thank you) is bad at all.

I appreciate the time someone took to write 'thank you'.

I rarely just say thanks because I never know when to shut up lol. I like pointing out things I really liked, my expectations of the product, and kind words to the reviewer for taking the time out to tell me about the product.

I always thank them for the review. Just if I have something to say, I add that as well. I like to always post so they know I read it and it also goes towards their ranks as well.

It comes off as a bit spammy/point-farming-y . I usually try to comment on something specific that I liked about the review.

God help - some of the stuff that I say on reviews is crazy. It's usually because I know the person. O.o

I will thank a review for sharing information. That's an honest 'thank you' for something I didn't know or that I thought should be shared. We have new people everywhere and if a review is detailed, I'll comment to that. Take it as a compliment.

Thank you, or Nice Comment, or THANKS for the Review is FINE if you don't have more to say. NO...it's not spam, it is COMMON. Relax. This is all for FUN anyway.

I always comment something along the lines of thanks for sharing if I don't have questions or suggestions.

I usually try to have some kind of comment. Even if it's nothing more than "This looks awesome!". I hate leaving a comment with zero content to it.

I don't see anything wrong with it...I think it's nice to let someone know you read the review and are appreciative.

Yeah sometimes I have nothing to comment about but I still enjoyed the review, so I usually say thank you
