As a fairly new editor, we were told after the first week or so reviews would be easier to find on Eden Tasks once the "novelty" had worn off.

I have not been able to find a usable review in a full week! I grabbed ONE a few days ago, it had to be sent back to the reviewer and I never heard from her so I had to release it.

I am still going as long as a week or more without a review to edit. I enjoy doing it and thought with nearly a third of the term gone, the reviews would be easier to grab.

Is this normal? To go a week or more seeing nothing but "there are no tasks yet" in the Task Market?

AND, I misspelled the word "having" in the title. (My glasses are upstairs and I am too tired to go get them. Geez.)

In the first round of editors, I rarely had a problem getting reviews to edit. In fact, the list would grow to multiple pages at times.

If a lot of people are having the same experience, I would email Sammi and ask her to look into it. EF may want to either decrease the daily allotment (which they did previously for the same reason, from 10 to 3) and/or consider fewer editors per round in the future.

My experience has been that there are dry spells and boom spells, through the time of day. Usually it's pretty rare to find much in the morning, while in the afternoons a lot of things are published (I remember one day I snagged all my three reviews one after another, as soon as I'd published the first review after going over it for 10 minutes or howeverlong, there was another waiting in the market, and then another.)

But even then, it's a little bit luck, I've tried refreshing the page a few times without taking a task just because I was curious, and it seems like they don't wait around for more than 5 minutes tops. So to find tasks you've probably got to check pretty often.

So I guess you're having a hard time finding them because you're online at a slow time of day Sorry.

Edit: having just read Kindred's post---hmm. Definitely seems like it's different this time around. I only very rarely make my quota of 3 (like once a week?), usually I will get one, sometimes none, sometimes two, in a day. So maybe there are more active editors than they had originally expected when they gave this number of people editing powers.

Thanks, Kindred and Antipova. I tend to be on in the morning more as that is when I have the time. For a while, I was logging on at 4 or 5 in the morning, while My Man was in the shower, just to find editing assignments. I have only had more than one in a day two or three times, and I have now gone a WEEK without one. (Not including the one I had to dump, as it was never revised by the reviewer and I never heard from her.)

It's just frustrating, as I enjoy doing it, I think I'm pretty good at it, and I'd like to do more than I've been able to do.

I just started it as well and have not gotten even a single review to edit yet.

I edited a review yesterday, but before that I hadn't gotten one since the 18th. It's very rare to log on and have one waiting. I usually have to keep refreshing the page until one finally pops up, and I don't usually have time to sit here waiting.
