For my review of Friday the 13th for the porn club review I chose to use the extended template but got given the book template instead. I'm pretty sure this is a system glitch as I know at least one other person had the same issue.

Does anyone know if there is a way that I can delete this review in order to use the other template and publish my review?

I was also wondering if anyone else was having trouble writing their porn reviews? I've gotten quite used to writing toy reviews but feel totally out of my depth with the porn club reviews. I absolutely love participating, all of the discussions were amazing! But the more reviews I read the more overwhelmed I felt.

This month I'm trying to get my reviews complete & published before we meet rather than waiting. If anyone has any tips or tricks for reviewing porn I'd love to hear them.

I had the same problem. I just used the standard template instead.

I just can't work out how to delete it to go back to the standard one as I wrote in it & saved it!

hmmm... I don't know. I think they had a format for erotic DVDs (Non Porn DVDs, films like How-to and stuff), did you get this or a book one, I think they are very similar. Maybe you can drop Gary a line via email, and he might be able to help ya. Or maybe someone more knowledgeable than I can stop by and let ya know

Sorry I can not help, I just do not know how to fix this.

THANK GOD I'm not the only one. You read my mind. I JUST posted about this elsewhere. I'm guessing maybe you saw this post since you mentioned knowing someone else.

I have the same issue and now, can't go back since that was never fixed on the site (as far as I know). There is no way that I know of that can get the review deleted. This issue has been brought up before.

It took me a while to get used to porn reviews. I'm still a bit shaky. No worries!

What I've decided to do is to add my own titles for each section in BOLD type along with a quick explanation of the template error as the last sentence. That way people will know the issue before voting. I found another extended template porn review to copy over the section titles.

I can't work out how to delete it to start over so I'm just going to run with it.

However something strange and slightly related...With my Wife Swap review I started writing it in the extended template but for some reason the system wasn't showing that I'd begun writing my review. When I clicked write review & chose the shorter template I ended up creating a 2nd review - No idea how that happenned. I just accepted it as a glitch.

I actually really like writing porn reviews. I find they come to me easier than some other products. I find that for
me it is easier to inject my own personal voice in the review.

I'm glad y'all alerted the other reviewers about this issue. I don't think it will really be a big deal for the review, though. A brief note at the beginning would probably suffice. "Note: Something weird happened with this review template and the section titles aren't quite right. But don't worry, the review is still on the Friday the 13th Parody!"

I think I just let myself get overwhelmed by comparing what I was writing to other reviews, so this time round I avoided reading other's reviews and I managed to get it all out. (and everyone who read it was like - what were you worried about this is great etc. but isnt it always like that you worry about something you didnt need to!)


I ended up just going with the book template & added my own headings and a note at the bottom regarding the template.

I did the best I could too. I also explained the error.

I had the same problem, and didn't explain the error. On the second review, I made sure not to choose the extended template. Writing porn reviews when I've only seen two porn movies -- really, really hard, actually. I had no basis for comparison, and no way to know if the alleged porn cliches I've heard were actually based in fact.

Hopefully I didn't do too terribly!
