Here are some things I find to be helpful when reading lingerie reviews:
1) The person's individual measurements, all that are appropriate to the item being reviewed, as well as the person's dress, panty and bra size (where appropriate). Essentially any measurement that may help (e.g. length of your torso to determine if the item will be too short or too long, length of your legs to help with thigh highs) This helps because everyone's body has different proportions and lingerie, depending on the manufacturer, cut, materials, etc. fit differently.
2) Pictures of the person in the item if they are willing to share this. Again, it really helps me determine how the item will fit my body. Other items of clothing can be worn underneath if the person does not feel comfortable exposing a lot of skin. I understand completely if people don't want to share pictures of themselves in lingerie at all.
3) How stretchy or not the material is so we can figure out if we can squeeze into it or not.
4) Comments on how the lingerie functions when being worn by itself, under clothes, the types of clothes it's worn under (e.g. skirt, skirt with slip or liner, pants, loose fitting top, tight fitting top, strapless dress), when worn during sex, when worn out dancing, when worn to lounge around the house or do laundry. Whatever you find yourself doing in it, please let me know how it performs.
5) How does it feel? Soft? Is it comfortable? Tight? Loose? Itchy/scratchy? Cheap feeling? Delicate? Prone to catch and tear easily? Liable to cling to clothing or ride up?
I find that measurements and pictures help me the most. I try to follow people who have similar measurements to mine.
Thanks for bringing up this topic!
