I have been reading many of the reviews posted after the new guidelines were put into effect and have noticed that they are very well written and seem to be a lot more useful. Great job, reviewers!!

Really? I didn't know there are new review guidelines, guess I must have missed it, can you show me the link please? Thank you!

Personally, I strive to write the most thorough, helpful reviews that I can (while respecting character limits) regardless of where I'm posting them, and my reviews here on EF are no different. Though I am a new reviewer to this site, I believe that most of my improvements will come simply through practice and not through any added effort. All of my reviews take me hours of work to write, and that doesn't even include the time needed to allow for product testing and picture taking! I honestly don't know what I could do differently other than changing my style completely, as you suggested - and even then, I don't know if I would to any better with something else, because how I write now is what comes naturally to me! I don't think that my reviews are the best (far from it), but I do think that at this time, they are my personal best, and that is what I wish to achieve.

I wrote good reviews before I like to think, so I'm doing the same.

I don't think that the guidelines for the reviews have changed; just the points. Now you get more points for reviews.

I think I put the same amount of time in them.

I put the same amount of effort into my reviews now. I've always tried very hard to put out the best reviews possible (for me), and that hasn't changed.

Even thought I have not done one in a few months I can truthfully say that it has never been about the points, hell I wrote reviews before points were even started. lol

It's always been about the honestly, helping folks make informed decisions and having fun with toys for me.

Just so everyone knows, I will not change my review style. I wouldn't know how to write.

Yeah, I just looked at the extended template--looks exactly the same to me!

Like many others here, I already put a TON of time and effort into each review, so other than the rare times when I forget to include some item of information, I wouldn't change anything about my reviews.

I try the same with the same effort. Everyine should have been doing the best job possible even if you were not getting points at all. Its not about the points. Its about letting people know what to buy.

Thank you for the clarification!

I always spend a lot of time and effort on my reviews, and I'll keep it that way.

I've always (tried, at least) to write excellent reviews, regardless of the points. The added points are just incentive to write more reviews. I have a wishlist full of things I need to review that aren't assignments that I have been procrastinating on.

If anything, I'll now be even more obsessive about getting everything just right.

I put in the same amount of time and detail--however I do admit to getting bored with my same old writing style and HAVE to switch it up every so often. I am really looking forward to getting my un-reviewed personal purchased items finished up with reviews and getting them published!!!

I won't change my review style. I always adhere to the guidelines so if they have changed, I'll continue to adhere to them. I don't think it will take any more or less effort on my part.

I will likely write more now but better? No. I wasn't intending to slack before.
