I occasionally have difficulty coming up with a title for my reviews, so naturally I ask everyone, What makes a good review title?

I think just about anything can make a great review title

But if you had to narrow down which titles tell the most about the product or makes you want to read the review, which do would you pick?

I agree. Just some are more memorable or grab my attention more than others.

I think that in order to be a succesful title, you should have something relating to your overall impression of the toy and how it worked for you. Being more descriptive is good for those who don't really know what they want, and it helps them decide if they are interested in that type of thing. I know when I am browsing products or reviews, I do enjoy humorous titles but I am also looking for quality. I still like humurous reviews, and many I have read are good. They just don't appeal to me as much as the more descriptive titles.

I think that a title should stand out but does not need to describe the experience, necessarily. The entire review and summary do that

Sometimes coming up with the titles can be more work than the actual review.

I try to go with the first thing that comes to mind. But yeah, once you begin to over-think it, it gets difficult. There isn't always the 'perfect' title.

That's so true. Sometimes the title is just there, and others it's tough to come up with

I love humor and since I just read a review based solely on the fact that I love the band the reviewer referenced in the title, I'm going to have to go with reference to song/show/movie/whatev er as well!

I try to find a title that will make the reader giggle, blush or think "what the..."

Something eye-catching!

I agree with FANNY

Any of the above (I'm not crazy about rhyming, all that often, but that's just me) Sometimes a play on words can be funny and a good idea also.

Almost all of the above! I like a humorous one and also something that works with the toy

I really like funny titles. If you make me laugh, you get bonus points! Lady Evyl is frequently guilty of this.

I typically like reading a review with a humorous title. When something makes me laugh, I am definitely more inclined to read it as opposed to a bland and boring title that only has the name of the toy in it.

I can't hit the nail on the head on this one, I think that it depends, If it stands out its great. I try to be humorous sometimes, but... I would still like my review to be takin' seriously (which does not mean others are not because of humor)

I have so much trouble thinking of titles!

I want something that lets me know a little about the toy, but funny/witty/clever also catches my eye and will make me read the review no matter what.
04/19/2011
I like to laugh so if a review is named something funny I am more likely to read it.
