#AskEden - getting into the mentor program?

Contributor: Sodom and Gomorrah Sodom and Gomorrah
What does a girl have to do get into the mentor program? I'm at a 6.1 Rank and have applied a couple of times. So far I have written 32 reviews. What am I doing wrong?

There are several things to consider, including: are you active on the site, and know your way around enough to guide students? Have you written any reviews recently? If you've been through the mentor program, what kind of reviews have you written since graduating, that are not under the tutelage of a mentor?

I hope that helps!

I always prefer to have a mentor since I like to have a second set of eyes looking over my reviews. Does this mean I must not have a mentor from now on if I want to be a mentor?

It doesn't mean that you can never have another mentor, no - many current mentors have or have had mentors at some point. But you should also be able to write reviews on your own, outside of class, especially now that you've been through the mentor program, that show you can write useful, readable reviews and would be capable of helping a student do the same.

Will whoever that keeps declining me as a mentor please stand up??!! That's whack! There are several people that are mentors that don't even bother checking their spelling. By the way, my mentor does not write my reviews! I do.
