Last Logged In

You know what would be awesome? If EF could had a "last logged in" feature to the mentor's page. I have had so many problems with students not responding, and I'd love to know if they are still logging in or just not responding. It'd be really useful to have.

does this idea violate the users' privacy? Not sure how I feel about this.

I don't see a problem with knowing whether they logged in or not.. Things like myspace do that even. I don't see how it really violates privacy all that much.

that's a good idea! Also a little place where we can save notes on what we are waiting for the student to do would be helpful. (pending toy approval as an example)

That would be so SOOO helpful! Easier than recounting them all from memory.
I'd love to be able to write little notes about the particular student's status!

I was just about to create a thread asking if such a feature exists?

I was offline for a few weeks so I'm sure my mentor thought I had gone awol, now the situations reversed lol as it appears she hasn't been on either so my review thats finished is stuck in cyber limbo.

A feature that shows when a user was last active or logged on, similar to facebook (as you can see on their wall what their last activity was) would be incredibly helpful for both mentors and students

I agree with sophie. I personally hate it when websites have a feature saying when I last logged in. I don't want everyone knowing how often I log into this site or that.

I likewise wish there was something that showed the last log-in dates.

I just cancelled one who seems to have lost interest. I even sent a follow-up email a week or so ago and never heard back. I guess some don't take it as seriously as others, and that's ok, it's their prerogative, but it'd sure be nice to graduate one!

I have the same issues. Someone added me as their mentor but the person has been completely inactive. Nothing was done other than adding me as their mentor! So I have been debating whether or not I should remove that student from my class or not. I have written the student twice in the past month and have never received a reply...but I feel bad sort of quitting on them but then again I don't want someone in my students list that is never really there...

I would send them a message just saying that you're canceling the class for now due to their inactivity, but you would be happy to take them on as a student again in the future if they so chose to do that. I've had to send a few messages like that. If you don't want them back, you can just tell them that you're canceling the class due to them being inactive, or you could just cancel the class. If it's been a month and you haven't heard anything, it's not a bad idea.
