Mentor if already advanced?

Contributor: Zombirella Zombirella
I'm not too sure about this answer so I thought I would ask here. I am already an advanced reviewer but I was wondering if you can still get a mentor? A little more help on what I can do to improve would be great if I am still able to do it.

From what I have seen and asked you can still get a mentor. Also the more people you ask the better the reviewer you become.

Thank you. I think I'm going to try it out.

Yes, you can! Lots of mentors will work with advanced reviewers to help them improve their skills. It works just the same as the regular program. You submit two reviews to your mentor to graduate. You can do more if you decide you want to.

You can do as many classes as you like. If you graduate from one class, you can get another mentor to learn their style as well. Lots of advanced reviewers will go through different mentors to learn lots of different tips and styles.

Good luck!!

Thanks for your information. Despite my recent graduation, I feel naked without a mentor for support!

You're welcome! I know a few people that have gone through the mentor program with a couple of mentors before setting out on their own entirely. If you feel naked, just sign up again!

I was just accepted Now I'm just waiting to hear back because I don't really know what I'm supposed to do =/. Sometimes I feel like I wrote a good review then other times I'm just at a loss for words or not sure what else to say so I'm hoping this experience can help me . Thanks to both for replying.

Yup! Some mentors won't take you, though.

I will take 2-3 advanced of my 5 max a month. But I will almost always choose a non-advanced over an advanced unless they have talked to me first and told me they really want me as a mentor.

Do you guys still get a giftcard or something for helping us? I hope so because I will feel bad if I'm just taking up her time.

We don't get giftcards for mentoring advanced reviewers, only basic reviewers. We do get points for graduating advanced reviewers.

The mentors that accept advanced reviewers do so to help out and aren't worried about the giftcard. If they were, they wouldn't accept advanced students. As Lauren said, some mentors don't accept advanced students either for this reason or for other reasons.

Great question and wonderful answers. I'm glad this was here for me to reference. I've been reviewing on EF for four years and have been a mentor for almost TWO YEARS! Time certainly flies...Wow!

I just signed up for my first class as a student! So excited! I've been meaning to do it for a while and I hope I come away a better reviewer and a better mentor!

I went through 3 myself. The first one helped me get used to navigating the site, but didnt' really help with the reviewing process. The second and third helped me with specific items to review. One I got for lingerie and the other for BDSM items.
