By now I am sure that most of you have noticed at least a few of the new forum changes. I just wanted to go over the list with you and give you a brief explanation to help avoid any confusion.

Name: The Forum's name has been changed from 'Sex Forum' to 'Community Forum' it's a small change, but I think the community has grown into so much more than a sex forum.

Alerts: There are now going to be advanced features to allow you to set more alerts, including club reminders. Unfortunately, there is a bit of a problem with alerts at the moment. Please be patient, this will be fixed as soon as possible.

Advanced Search: We have added a number of advanced search options that will hopefully helping you in finding specific threads you are looking for, and also scanning to find general threads on topics you may be looking for. You are now able to search by date, contributor name, type of thread (poll, post, comparative discussion, all), and also specify the search to look for keyword in title or post.

New Discussion Style: This feature might seem a little weird at first, but consider how active and live discussions are now a major part of all community activity. The new style presents your posts and comments in the style of a conversation. If you post a comment, your avatar will show up on the left side as it always has; but now, if you post a response, your avatar appears on the right side to illustrate the back and forth flow of a conversation.

Smileys: New Smileys - its pretty obvious what these are. Let me tell you, finding useable smiley's for the forum was like a 'Da Vinci Code' type quest. I know a few of them, like the ones with weapons might seem a little out of place, but we had no reason to remove them. I hope you have some fun with them. We are looking into your early suggestion of being able to 'turn off' the motion.

Sticky Threads: We have added a space to include 'Sticky Threads' under Upcoming Events, Announcements & Featured Threads. This will allow us to better share or highlight important threads with the community.

Poll Timer: You will now have the option to have your polls close at a specific designated time now. As there are many time sensitive surveys, awards, and contests, this should prove to be a very useful tool. less

Thank you for so many of these changes! Many are obviously awesome right from the get-go (poll timers! the "community forum"! sticky threads!) and others look great and soon everyone will warm up to them.

The only one I'm sad about, and I know it won't grow on me:

If your browser is shrunken from a standard laptop size, the words don't automatically wrap to fit the browser window like they used to in the old forum. Fixed widths mean that people with huge screens have a lot of wasted space, but more importantly---people with smaller screens (like netbook users, and multitaskers) now have to scroll back and forth many times to read a whole post.

I hope this gets changed back for the convenience of many users. less
