Just a note to all of you who have given the slideshows a try...

GREAT job so far! Can't wait to see more.

And those of you who haven't... c'mon. You know you want to. It's easy and fun!

I can't believe that I only just noticed this! I've never done a video review, but I take so many photos of my products that a slide show would be perfect for me!

This is such a great idea!!

I like the idea of this, it seems a bit like creating a Powerpoint presentation to showcase a product, and I always used to be good at doing those.

Ooh, I may have to get in on this! Video reviews are a little too far out of my league with my lack of a good place to film and a decent camera, but a slideshow is totally doable! Awesome addition, guys

I haven't yet.. but that's only because I have no idea how to lol.. I know how to use the Windows Movie Maker but with the videos I've done, I've never added text, photos, fading, or anything like that.

I love seeing the enthusiasm from you guys. It makes me all squishy happy inside

Remember, you can always try one and if it's not great, we can work together to get it right. This is a learning experience for all of us so don't be afraid to try!

There's a YouTube tutorial on how to use Windows Live Movie Maker. It explains how to do all the fades, text, add photos, etc. and it was super useful for me personally.

I have a question (I don't think it's been answered yet)- do you have to have a review written for the product you want to do a slide show on? The reason I ask is because you mention that the video is NOT a review. So say I thought a product was a 1 out of 5 star rating, but made a slideshow video for that review, wouldn't it look odd to not talk about the negatives of the product in the slide show if it's showing up at the top of my review? I'm not sure if I'm explaining that correctly.

I don't actually have a product in mind right now but that was just a question I had after watching your slideshow reviews. Thanks!

Nope, no written review is necessary. You certainly can add slideshows to a written review but it's not necessary to write a written review to do a slideshow.

It does, however, need to be uploaded to or attached to the product page.

Okay great! I think I'm going to attempt one soon ( will email you to get approval first of course).

Wow this is a really cool option for people who aren't comfortable in front of the camera! I used to dabble in windows movie maker, sounds like a good excuse to brush up, lol.

Question - For lingerie reviews, do you still only want the lingerie laying flat and professional or is it appropriate to have them on people in this type of review? Too personal for this kind of review?

I would say use your best judgement. If the lingerie is sheer or shows more than most people might be comfortable looking at, leave it to just images of the lingerie itself. If showing it on can be beneficial and not uncomfortable for most viewers, feel free to show it on the body.

I just stumbled upon this post. Kuddos, this sounds like a lot of fun.
Carrie Ann, I've seen some of the slideshows you've done; they are great!

I would love to try making one...

I see we need to show the packaging. For my glass dildos, I didn't save the bubble wrap, but do have the pouches, I suppose that's okay. But, for a Tantus dildo I got, I didn't save any of the packaging, does that mean I can't do a slideshow on it?

You do not need to show packaging (though if you have it,you should) but you do need to make sure that, if you do, the pictures are clear and from different angles. Not a bunch of images that look the same.

Thanks for answering that, I bought the Tantus dildo just before realizing I might do reviews & would maybe need pix of the packaging.

(I hate the clear plastic boxes they have because they always jab & cut me! The first time I put the dildo back in or our of the package, I must have caught it on one of the sharp edges, because I have a slice in the shaft & this was before I even got to use it! )
