You don't have to do one if you don't want to. If the item in question has held up far better than expected, is still going after a year, or six months, hasn't really changed, that's fine. If it broke or became otherwise unusable, we want to know about that too.

With things that take batteries or hold a charge, I'd include whether or not they're total battery guzzlers now, or if a charge lasts as long now as it did when the toy was fresh. With wearable things I'd try to cover how it's held up to various kinds of abuse (if it's gone through any) and how well it's held up through washing.

Unless something drastic happens that makes the toy unusable, you should wait at least 2 months to write a follow up review.

I hope that helps you out

Uhhh ditto! Unless you wrote a review for a toy you've had for a long time, I also think it's pretty important to wait at least 1 to 2 months minimum to write a follow-up review unless something drastic changes before then.

I personally always read the follow-up reviews because I find that sometimes they're even more useful than the original ones. If something was great for a month but then broke, no matter how great it started out being, I won't buy something that will break after that short a life span.

Excellent question! Writing a follow up is not required but it is recommended and it contributes to your rank and gives you eden points .

You should wait 2+ months before writing a follow up review. If we use a vibrator as an example, I would write a follow up before 2 months, only if it broke or something went wrong in a really bad way. But if the material is just slightly deteriorating or I simply found new ways to use it, I'll wait at least two months to do that review. It's totally fine to write a follow up review that simply says you still love it, it's working fine, and the batteries last xxx amount of time (with more elaboration of course).

If you need examples, try going through some of the higher reviewers review pages and look for the ones with hearts. This indicates they have done a follow up. Read some on those for guidance.

Other examples:

lingerie-is it holding up? did it clean well? how is it to wear during sex?
lube- have you had any reactions?, it is holding to the exp. date?, how much is left in the bottle?, leaking?

After about two months, you can write a follow up review. What I do is talk about whether I still use the product and if it has stood the test of time.

I get email reminders about my follow-up reviews, so that helps me to know that 2 months has gone by.
